Fusible Link

A fusible link is a crucial safety component used primarily in fire protection systems, such as fire sprinkler heads. It functions as a mechanical or electrical device designed to activate the sprinkler system in the event of a fire. The fusible link is made from a material that melts or deforms at a specific temperature. When exposed to heat from a fire, the link melts or deforms, which triggers the sprinkler head or in our case closes the fire damper separating the cabin from the makeup air system. This automatic response helps ensure timely activation of the fire suppression system, providing an essential safeguard in fire protection and safety.
