Propane and natural gas versions are standard in almost all paint booth versions. However, it’s still important to declare the intended fuel to your manufacturer. However, due to the nature of combustion of oil fuels, the use of heating oil, kerosene, diesel, and waste oil to run a paint booth must be used with indirect fire heating. This type of heating relies on a heat exchanger, costing about 30% of a booth’s fuel efficiency. Gas or propane is the best option, which can be paired with direct-fire heating, causing nearly 100% fuel efficiency.
